Terms & Conditions

A legal disclaimer

Standard Terms and Conditions for all quoted projects, unless otherwise stated:

  • Payment Terms:  NET 30 from Time of Shipment or Factory Acceptance Testing (whichever comes first)

  • Sales Taxes:  A separate Sales Tax charge for companies in Florida will be included unless we have a current Florida State Tax Exemption on file.

  • Freight Terms:  FOB Satellite Beach, FL (customer pays freight and assumes ownership at the transfer to the freight carrier)

    • Crating and/or special handling is available upon request but is NOT included in the cost of a panel.

  • Lead Times:  All lead times are estimates generated from the best available data at the time of quote.  Reef is not responsible for delays causes by product availability or market shortages.

    • Expedited inbound freight is available upon request but is NOT included in the price of a panel.

  • Documentation:

    • Electrical Prints are required and included with all UL Listed designs.

    • Full Electrical and mechanical designs are available upon request but is NOT included in the price.

    • Other application or production documentation  (Commissioning Instructions, Owners Manuals, Maintenance Schedules, Troubleshooting Guides, and the like) are available to be made upon request but is NOT included in the price.

  • All quotes are valid for 30 calendar days.

Standard Warranty for all products, unless otherwise stated:

 

Reef Controls offers the Buyer, subject to the limitations below, a warranty against manufacturing defects and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the time of shipment.

Additionally, we will pass all manufacturer’s product warranties and terms for warranties to customer with no mark-up.

 

Reef Control’s warranty does not cover damage due to shipment, storage, installation, operation, maintenance, misuse, abuse, accident, negligence, Force Majeure or operation outside the design parameters of the delivered system.

This warranty also does not cover reimbursement for shipping, labor, access, removal, installation, and any expenses that may be incurred in connection with the repair or replacement of delivered system.

The maximum warranty liability will not exceed the value of the purchase order for system in question.

 

To claim/resolve warranty

Notify Reef Controls in writing of a defect within the applicable warranty period.

The Buyer will make the defective system available for inspection/testing at Reef Controls location or at a mutually agreed upon location.

If the defect is found to be a warranty claim, Reef Controls may, at our option, elect to repair, rebuild, or replace the defect.

If the return is found to be a non-warranty failure, the Buyer will be notified of repair/replacement options.
