Reef Controls LLC is a family owned and operated industrial automation control panel shop. We engineer and manufacture UL 508a certified control panels in our hometown on the east coast of Florida.

Reef Controls LLC started with a drive for perfection and a commitment to our customers. Since 2020, we’ve worked hard to provide quality and value in everything we do. As a small, family-owned and operated business, we believe in putting our customers first and building lasting relationships.

Meet The Team

John Miller

Owner & President

John Miller has been the owner and operator of Reef Controls LLC since it was founded in October of 2020. With a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering John has been working in the field of automation and control for over 30 years. Using his industry expertise and consistently growing network, John was able to leverage his knowledge to run automation business development, engineering, and sales teams for distribution, agency, and manufacturers before starting his own company. When John isn’t running Reef Controls he helps his community by volunteering at the local fire department. John is currently Deputy Chief for the Melbourne Beach Volunteer Fire Department and has been in the fire service for over 25 years. He uses his experience as a leader in both fields to help push Reef Controls into the future.

Tom Miller

Director of Operations

Tom Miller is more than just John’s son. He has been with Reef Controls since it was founded in 2020, starting as a panel assembler, he moved his way up and is now the Chief Operating Officer. Tom recently graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Using his skills in business Tom was able to streamline the production processes, increase efficiency, and introduce new company policies. He is continuously looking for new ways to improve the company and help push Reef Controls forward. When he is not working you might be able to find Tom somewhere in the ocean floating on a surfboard.

Scott Persinger

Scott Persinger, otherwise known as “Hey Scott”, has been with Reef Controls since October 2022. Since starting at Reef Scott has worked hard to improve himself, and the company. Scott started as the Shop manager for Reef but is now a designer and is continuously working to improve his skills. He always has a moment to teach someone a new skill and is the first to learn how a shiny new tool works. He is an invaluable member of the team and has the skills to back it up, with certificates such as UL, CNC Machinist, Alternative Energy Systems Specialist, and Certified Production Technician. When Scott isn’t in the shop, he is probably throwing darts or trying to figure out how to play his bass properly.

Dejah Mango, affectionately known as 'Shop Mom,' has been an integral part of Reef Controls LLC since January 2024. Despite starting with little background knowledge, she has consistently impressed us with her eagerness to learn and grow. Dejah's remarkable journey from novice panel builder to Shop Boss is a testament to her drive and determination. With her sharp instincts, she seizes every opportunity to enhance herself and the company. Outside of work, Dejah expertly juggles her responsibilities as a mother to three amazing kids.
