Meet The Team
CEO & President
John Miller
John Miller has been the owner and operator of Reef Controls LLC since it was founded in October of 2020. With a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering John has been working in the field of automation and control for over 30 years. Using his industry expertise and consistently growing network, John was able to leverage his knowledge to run automation business development, engineering, and sales teams for distribution, agency, and manufacturers before starting his own company. When john isn’t running Reef Controls he helps his community by volunteering at the local fire department. John is currently Deputy Chief for the Melbourne Beach Volunteer Fire Department and has been in the fire service for over 25 years. He uses his experience as a leader in both fields to help push Reef Controls into the future.
COO
Tom Miller
Tom Miller is more than just John’s son. He has been with Reef Controls since it was founded in 2020, starting as a panel assembler, he moved his way up and is now the Chief Operating Officer. Tom recently graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Using his skills in business Tom was able to streamline the production processes, increase efficiency, and introduce new company policies. He is continuously looking for new ways to improve the company and help push Reef Controls forward. When he is not working you might be able to find Tom somewhere in the ocean floating on a surfboard.
Scott Persinger
Scott Persinger, otherwise known as “Hey Scott”, has been with Reef Controls since October 2022. Since starting at Reef Scott has worked hard to improve himself, and the company. Scott started as the Shop manager for Reef but is now a designer and is continuously working to improve his skills. He always has a moment to teach someone a new skill and is the first to learn how a shiny new tool works. He is an invaluable member of the team and has the skills to back it up, with certificates such as UL, CNC Machinist, Alternative Energy Systems Specialist, and Certified Production Technician. When Scott isn’t in the shop, he is probably throwing darts are trying to figure out how to play his bass properly.y.
Dejah Mango, colloquially known as “Shop Mom”, has been with Reef Controls since January 2024. Starting out with zero background knowledge in the field, she has continuously impressed us with her willingness to learn and her drive to improve. Quite literally, Dejah went from zero to hero and is now the manager of the shop. With a shark like mentality, she has jumped on every opportunity improve both herself and the company. When she isn’t managing the other workers in the shop, she can be found at home managing her amazing three kids.
